Remembering 9/11

There are a few things I must ask you all to do today. First, forget your political values, no left wing right wing crap. Its not important right now, what's important is that we are all Americans. Second, I must ask that you don't forget 9/11. And I don't mean just remember what happened that day. I want you to remember what you were doing, how you felt when you heard the news. Remember your mixed emotion of fear, anger, and sadness. And lastly, remember who attacked us that day. People have been getting too soft on these terrorists, and frankly, I don't need another attack to remind me what evil savages they are. When you have completed those three things, I want you to continue reading this article.

I'm scared guys. Does anyone else realize how easy it would be for them to do it again? Why has America forgotten this? Why are our borders wide open? Why do we care if we offend them when we profile them racially? Why does no one seem to want revenge on these savages? If America doesn't get their act together, we could get attacked again, and it could be much worse. Think about it, from two buildings being hit, we lost around 3,000 people. They could easily do something worse, and America will once again be caught with their pants down. Just like on 9/11, and just like hurricane Katrina.

You should still feel the emotions you did on that day, because they still want to kill us all. They would do it again, they're just waiting for the right moment, and they could do it so easily. They could take a plane to Mexico, cross the border, take a bus to a city, and boom.

I will not feel safe until every single one of these "religion of peace" extremists are killed.

The CIA has good intelligence. They know where most of the terrorist bases and hideouts are. All it would take is a few air strikes. Why don't we just do it? I don't know. When in WWII did we try our hardest not to hurt, or even offend the enemy? Not very many times.

Now I don't mean to scare you, but every day we live, is another day the enemy lets us live. They could demolish cities, and they will.

The enemy is evil. Don't believe me? Fine. I am about to show you graphic pictures, showing you what the enemy is really capable of.

I'm sorry I had to show you that, but it is necessary for those who just don't understand them. They're not freedom fighters, they are terrorists. Nothing more, nothing less. I don't care what wing you are in politics, it's not important. You should want these people dead.

If you know anything about their religion, you should completely understand that their race DOES NOT categorize them as terrorists. It saddens me that you feel that way. Do you recall the events that took place during the Salem Witch Trials? When we judged people and killed them based on their religious views? Hung people? Stoned them to death? Those were Americans. Should we be looked at as "savages" because of that? There are plenty of extremely evil Americans, but I'm sure you don't want to be put in the same group as them. If you have this view of their culture than why on earth do you support the current reasons for removing Sadaam from power? They are all HUMAN. Yes, there are bad humans. But yes, there are plenty of good ones as well.

I said the extreamists, not all of them. I think you need to look at the pictures again, because you obviously haven't gotten it yet.

But like I said, can you drop the left vs right crap for just one freaking day?! Please?

I'm pretty sure you know I'm talking about Al-Qaeda and such, why do you have to make it look like I said something else? just so you can argue? I just want one day where conservatives and liberals can get along, can I have that?

Thank you, Cody O'Connor. I'm going to respect your wishes and not argue with anyone, and your point is well taken. I was horrified and repulsed by the pictures, but I agree with you: it's completely necessary for us to understand what these people are capable of.

Just so you know, these people are attempting to get you to shut down your blog. They succeeded with a young college guy who ran the blog www.theyoungright.blogspot.com. It's still there, but he doesn't post anymore. He couldn't take it. It's a shame; it looks like it would have been a good blog.

Good grief! I just read your profile and I am amazed that you are only 15 years old. You write extremely well. Most 15 year olds are not so politically involved. Kudos to you, Cody, and keep it up. Now be certain of this: the people who have been driving you nuts will have something bad to say about me as well. It's because THAT IS WHAT THEY DO BEST!
Don't let the rancor discourage you. Conservatives need people like you.

I am not arguing for the sake of right or left. I argue for the sake of humanity. YOU were the one that posted about killing other people instead of just posting about the day and how it should be remembered. You said "extremists" only once in your post. If you think racial profiling is appropriate, you are obviously suggesting that they all pose a threat. I know people that were personally affected by 9/11, even though I did not lose anyone, and it was a terrible day with terrible after effects. I am not justifying what the TERRORIST EXTREMISTS did, but I think you need to look at the memebers of their culture as humans rather than terrorists.

allisoni: I can understand that you are against racial profiling. But I'm just saying if a cop sees a suspicious looking guy with a suitcase and breaking a sweat for no reason (and just happenes to be muslim) If I were the cop I would ask him a few questions at the least. Maybe check the suitcase. And just tell him its for security reasons. If he isn't a terrorist, then he should understand. So yeah, I'm thinking a mix of racial and criminal profiling.

Gayle: thanks for the support, and I won't be shutting down this blog, no matter how out numbered I am.

I don't think anyone's here to shut down your blog Cody. I have plenty of Republican friends and family members who's opinions I respect. I just happen to disagree with them.
If there ceases to be two sides to an arguement or viewpoint, there can be no real democracy in this country.

I do agree with Cody on one point here. It makes no sense to check old white ladies bags at a subway for bombs. Racial or not, Islamic terrorists tend to fit a pretty specific profile. It costs money and resources to perform 'random' checks on whoever...and there's no real proof that these sort of checks are in any way worthwhile. Also, our borders MUST be sealed. This is a gaping hole in Homeland Security. Not just Mexico/Canada, but the coastlines. I think Bush should better resource and fund these areas or he will have another 9/11 on his hands and soon.

Homeland security will definetly be a hot button in '08 elections.

this is really weird. There is now 3 15 year old and 1 14 year old conservatives that I now know, and we all know eachother.

Cody, if the right choice ever comes back, you should invite him. It would be pretty cool.

yeah. He would have plenty of time to write now that his blog is dead.

It's too bad that The Right Choice let the libs chase hime away. And you just had a wonderful thing happen here: A liberal actually agreed with you on two points. Drew said "it makes no sense to check old ladie's bags at a subway for bombs" and "Also, our borders must be sealed." I agree with that also. He also said "if there ceases to be two sides to an arguement or viewpoint, there can be no real democracy in this country." That's also quite true. But some of the statement made by so many liberals are downright rude and offensive. It's easier to exchange ideas when people are polite than when they are rude.

I'm glad that you agree with some of what I said.

Would you be alright if the police used a mixture of racial profiling and criminal profiling? It could be a suspicious suitcase, or it could be CIA intellegince.

The london bombings happened when they had intellegince about who they were, but they didn't want to offend the terrorists.

Gayle: I'm a moderate Democrat, not a liberal. Liberal is a swear word created by the hard right and regurgitated by pundints like Rush, Hannity and O'Rielly. To the right, liberal equals socialist. I'm not a socialist by any means and I'm not comfortable on the idea of a large government.... nor do I trust the government whether Democrat or Republican led, to always do the right thing.
There's plenty of common ground between our viewpoints. The challenge is to keep enough balance to not fall off the edges.

    "Liberal is a swear word"

Neo-con is too, right? And before you ask, I am not one of them.

    I'm just a regular Conservative.

Neocon is one of those words you rarely hear applied to your run of the mill Republicans though. W. is not a neocon... he's more of a puppet of a group of them. Cheney, Rummy..the guys that are involved in PNAC, those are true neocons and they have a hawkish agenda. The neocon movement sprang up during the Reagan years as a rebellion of sorts against the left-biased media. True neocons believe in American global superiority by use of force thoughout the world, as well as controlling world resources. Neocons care little about social, civil or religious agendas either, although they may adopt certain hot-button social issues (i.e. abortion) in order to strengthen their voting base.

Liberals, on the other hand, are whiney socialist hippy war-protesters who want to take your money and give it to poor people.

Not many Republicans are called neocons... but in every election, the "L" word comes right out real quick.
