It Ends Now

Today I will be settling the hurricane Katrina fault once and for all. No more biased articles, leaving things out, adding things in. It all ends right here, right now.

Everybody messed up one way or another. I know people on both sides of the political spectrum don't want to hear this, but there isn't one person to blame. I'm going to simply run down the list right now.

FEMA (bad response)

Bush (cut funding, a little late)

Every other president since 1920 (cut funding)

The governor of Louisiana (didn't give the federal government permission to help soon enough)

The mayor of New Orleans (Didn't use busses, no supplies at superdome, sheer incompetence etc.)

Everyone in the Louisiana government (lack of help, threats)

Cheney (very, very late)

Democrats (blaming it all on Bush)

Republicans (blaming it all on the Louisiana government)

Every single one of those people did something wrong and you all know it. Now PLEASE guys, stop bickering back and forth, you're both half right.

    Excellent post!

You are right. Bickering should stop because it won't help put New Orleans back; it won't help the evacuees; it won't help or accomplish anything whatsoever except for more bickering. What we need to be doing right now is to be praying for this new hurricane, Rita, to not hit the same area as Katrina did! It looks, at present, like it might hit Texas, around Galveston (very capable of damaging the Houston area as well) but it's too early to tell. Hurricanes can't be predicted as to where they will actually make landfall this early on.

Have you checked out Michael Yon's blog yet? He has a newsletter you can sign up for. The link is on my Let Our Voices Be Heard blog. If you are interested in knowing what is really happening in Iraq, that is the place to go.

Keep it up. If you want more input here, as from some of your comments I know you do, surf around a little for more conservative websites and comment on them. Your input will pick up more conservatives.

Sorry... After the polls predicted that Kerry would win, I no longer believe in polls.

Note: Many people who come here would probably like to see me eat crow. Samurai Sam has succeeded in doing that. (Sorry, Cody.) He made enough good points for me to post his comments and my answers on My Republican Blog. But I learned something, so Cody, it's interesting. You might want to check it out.

Yes, it ends now. bush has taken responsibility for an endless stream of errors culminating in the fema disaster, and will be walking around with his tail between his legs for the forseeable future. Indeed, I hear thru the grapevine that georges abstinance has ended as well. As the water pours into the broken levees, the booze is now pouring down the throat of a broken man.

Hey Bushhater, why don't you give your bush bashing crap a rest and figure out that this is the LOCAL AND STATE GOVERNMENTS FAULT.

EVERY TIME THE FEDS SENT LOUISIANNA MONEY FOR THE LEVEES THEY SPENT IT ON A WORTHLESS BRIDGE

Bush deserves 5% of the blame for FEMA and being a little late but that is it.
